…three words that describe the start of a brand new year for me. I do feel “REVIVED” and I hope you do to! Last year for many I know, was one of transition, struggle, and “clearing the board” so to speak. Our family, like many others, made the decision to – as my husband says, “Stop drinking the Kool Aid!” Going with the flow of society tends to cloud the truth of our individual situations, and when you start hearing yourself say things like, “…well at least we’re not upside down” or “I’m glad it’s ‘good debt”, you may want to ask yourself – “Really?” Truly – what’s so good about working like a mad-woman (or man) simply to stay above the water-line? When did life get distilled down to this? I know it’s not supposed to be a bed of roses, but come on! Isn’t it okay to stop and smell a few along the way??
So – yes. We made the choice to stop the madness, sell our home, pay off debt, down-size, simplify, de-clutter, and turn the volume down to a whisper so we could actually hear and see the truth of our lives. Who are we – what are the desires of our hearts and most importantly – are we living our God’s plan or are we caught up in the way of the world, being tossed to and fro like a cork on the sea…hence, the big “REVEAL”.
Next comes REINVENTION… and oh what fun it is on this ride!! Did I hear you say – “But don’t you miss all the stress??” Yeah – right! No. Not for one minute.
Since it would stress me out to add another thought to my very first Blog – I’ll have to say, to be continued…
